Ovais Malik serves as a distinguished Consultant in Orthodontics at both the University of Manchester Dental Hospital and the Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust. His journey in dentistry began with an honours degree in 1996, setting the stage for a rich career filled with diverse experiences in both practice and hospital settings. His pursuit of specialization led him to the Orthodontic Postgraduate Training Programme at Guy’s Hospital in London, where he excelled and was conferred a Master of Science Degree in Orthodontics from the University of London. His expertise was further recognized with the prestigious Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Edinburgh.
In 2003, Ovais Malik achieved a significant milestone by being listed as a Specialist in Orthodontics by the General Dental Council. He was then appointed as a Senior Registrar in Orthodontics at the University of Manchester Dental Hospital and Hope Hospital in Manchester, where he earned the Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship in Orthodontics from the Royal College, alongside accreditation as a Consultant Orthodontist. Additionally, he contributes to the field as an examiner for the Specialty Membership in Orthodontics (MOrth RCS) at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, sharing his knowledge and expertise with the next generation of orthodontists.
